As Social Activists – we try to make it a point to give responsibly
One year for every-one’s birthdays we paid for the freedom of a Slave in Africa; by contributing to Anti Slavery Org.
the gift recipient receives a beautiful gift card, giving them information on the gift that was given in their name. also if you want, they will send you the card so you may be the presenter directly to your recipient. I did it this way for a few people who I could personally hand deliver it to; but the majority of the cards, were delivered by mail and followed up with a telephone call from me; letting them know that They Freed a Person. not one of my giftees’ ever balked at their philanthropic gift. some even pledged more. that was the beauty of the gift, it keeps on giving – freedom.
One year we planted Trees with the Arbor Society locally; in the names of our gift recipients. everyone seems to feel this is the ultimate gift for the person who has everything. Do Mother Nature, Us and Yourself a favor this year and be a Green Philanthropist; Share the Joy of Your Green Year Round.
When My Godbrother turned 50 a couple years ago I brought the Gas X by plane
we showed up at his house, which is 2000 miles away with a car full of food ; for a feast that we flew in and prepared, without him knowing. this was the top off to his weekend. he had a suprise birthday party given by his wife and some old friends; which kept him so occupied that we could fly in, shop and lay low for two days without him knowing; and he was only 3 blocks away from our house. yes we live close to eachother in tampa, so I just had to sneak in and sock it to him.
when I called his phone from his backyard, he came to the door and when he saw me - the expression on his face was priceless. nothing could ever replace the love we shared in that moment; and the gas x we shared a few hours later from eating so much good food. he called people we knew and all of a sudden the whole yard, house and street were in his house. everyone was eating, drinking, laughing and just sharing love. this couldn’t be done by krogers – only by me. the languages being spoken were so varied, you had only to look at the faces of the 100 or so suprised friends, to know that Love is Universal.
a few years ago when my niece graduated, I gave her a day of beauty with auntee
yes we went to lingerie stores, to get her measured properly for her first really nice expensive brassiere; we shopped for naughty lingerie and cute club outfits; we went to the beach and had drinks at sunset; then we picked up her mom and went to dinner and enjoyed alot of fancy non alcoholic drinks; that we always wanted to taste. the next day I did her hair, makeup and even for the first time Shaped Her Eyebrows. it’s true that you have to go out with your sassy auntee to have that kind of fun. that was an experience we will remember forever. still years later it brings smiles to everyones’ faces.

Several years ago for My Older Sisters Birthday I gave her a Personal Scent
yes that’s right, I had a scent mixed and composed for My Lovely Sister. she is such a churchy gal. she isn’t into make up, dressing flashy and most of her time is spent at work, school or church. so what better to give her, than her own personal scent. now when she walks in, everybody smiles. I’ve seen the reaction myself personally as men in the single adult group were smiling and circling my sis like never before (wink*wink).
it was the most curious thing to see my sister, “the chuuch lady “being surrounded by handsome eligible smiling chuuchmens; all I can say is, it made my day.
word is that apparently it makes hers too; since she has “re-upped” on her personal scent and added components that she wanted. she really smells good ALL THE TIME. fyi – her scent is similar to Thierry Mugler Angel and Chocolate. I had it composed at my favorite online H&B Shop Garden Botanika. and no I will not reveal my personal killer scent, but it is custom mixed by the folks at Garden Botanika in a spring summer / fall winter formula; since we all know fall scents are heavier on the bottom notes.
on our gift list so far this year, we have a Complete World Map Set, Atlases, and a $100.00 Book Card to pass on to the Granddaughters School – in the name of our beloved Granddaughter Princess Z. we also plan to do More Baking, More Personal Cooking Gifts; and of course Lots of Massages, Manicures, Pedicures and Footrubs – for my tired sisters. Love from My Hands directly. several relatives will get jewelry from our stock, and even artwork. we collect beautiful things through out the year, for those we love.
This Year, Give Experience Gifts; they always leave a Warm Memory years later,
