Christmas Light Boxes

Having made some of these earlier, I decided to add a few more for the Christmas season. These light boxes, or signs are easy to make, very low cost (the only thing I have to buy is the lights). Lights used are mini-incandescent lamps that are low watt, low heat regular Christmas lights. If pu&

How to Make 6-Pointed Paper Snowflakes

This step by step guide will teach you how to make SIX pointed paper snowflakes. Most people make (and most how-tos teach) snowflakes with four or eight points. Real snowflakes in nature form with six points (or occasionally three if they formed weird) so I choose to make my own with six points. &

freehand glass etching

I am making personalized shot glasses for each of my friends this year (or coffee cups for those who don’t partake). This is a bit different from standard etching in that it does not use a stencil: for small curved glasses like these, stencils don’t quite stick.I also included basic instructi&

Altoids Advent calendar

This time of year, kids can hardly wait for the man in the red suit to bring toys to all good girls and boys. One way to help kids count the days is with an Advent calendar. But why settle for an old-fashioned paper one? Make a 3-D sculpture that can hold a small surprise for every day between no&

Our Smart Crafters have no doubt added a few ideas to your treasure trove of what to makes‘. this is how we think the spirit of Christmas should be preserved; through giving of yourself.

His Directions really make it easy. there’s so much that you can do with Paper, and there’s so much paper around, why not use it to make a treasure.

wouldn’t you love to receive an envelope filled with these beauties ?

We Remember when the teacher in our art class taught us how to make the basic snowflakes in elementary school. it was so much fun to bring them home to have mom put them in the window of the house to show them off to the neighborhood.

those snowflakes are easily transformed into beautiful art pieces, when properly mounted and framed. couldn’t you see grandma’s face light up when she receives one in the mail along with the gifts from you this christmas ? why not start a family tradition and create some paper memories.

Speaking of Paper Crafts for the Holidays – Everyone Loves the Paper Star Lanterns; and they are so easy to make. why not make your own and one for a friend, with these directions from the Lantern Maker Queen – Melina. her directions make it a snap. that’s why she’s an expert.  remember to click the video to go to the list, where the continuation of the construction videos are on YouTube; as it’s well worth it. each step is clearly shown and easy to do.

Our Next Post will focus on those Food Gifts we’ve been collecting. make sure you Subscribe to our blog, so that you don’t miss a single edition of this Holiday Green Special. there’s so much that we have to be thankful for and of course, it starts with Mother Nature and You.
